When I’m not crunching numbers, I love spending time with my husband and best friend, Royce, and our five kids—an energetic mix of grown, college-bound, and middle/high schoolers. Our family has a big heart for animals, and we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray dogs and cats in the Keaau and Hilo areas. I feel so fortunate to call Hawaii home and cherish exploring the wonderful businesses, restaurants, and natural treasures not just on the Big Island but across all the islands.

We’re also a family of movie buffs, with a special place in my heart for monster movies. I’m an avid reader and podcast listener, diving into topics like science, true crime, finance, history, biographies, thrillers, and historical fiction. And when it comes to board games, you’ll often find me enjoying Prime Climb, Scrabble, or Trivial Pursuit.
